How do I work with STDU Explorer?

July 28th, 2011 0 Comments

You normally work with the default file explorer utility which ships with Windows 7. But it would be a great experience if you make use of third party freeware for this purpose.

STDU Explorer is an utility which enables you to work with a wide range of image files formats such as PSD, BMP, PNG, GIF, PCX, JPEG, WMF. You can also search ebooks in DjVu, PDF, FB2, JBIG2, XPS, DCX, WWF, PDB, CBR and CBZ formats. In short, the application helps you to quickly view and find books or image files on your system.

STDU Explorer also supports standard operations such as moving, copying, pasting, renaming, deleting etc. However, the freeware also provides an ability to display files list in extended format with adjustable thumbnails, fast preview any page of multipage documents, fast access to a tree of bookmarks in PDF, XPS, FB2 or DjVu files.

In order to work with STDU Explorer, you need to download and install the software by double clicking the executable file stduexplorer.exe. As soon as you complete the installation process, you will be able to see the default page of the applications as shown below

As you can see, STDU Explorer is developed using Ribbon control and provides several options in Toolbar. From my point of view, the freeware is simple to use and is an excellent alternative to the Windows 7 explorer.
