Guard your Health with Diseases and Vitamins Calculator from Intel AppUp Center | TechnoEnclave

Nowadays, we suffer from various diseases due to lack of physical activity and increase in the consumption of fast foods or junk foods. From my point of view, fast foods only provide taste and smell. It doesn’t contain vitamins and proteins which are very essential for the growth of human body. Moreover, majority of the diseases are caused as a result of lack of vitamins. At some point of time, you will suffer from symptoms which might be as a result of vitamin insufficiency.

Hence, you should be aware of the various diseases so that you can either consume vitamin supplements or diet which adds the required source of vitamins. Diseases and Vitamins Calculator, a freeware available under health category inside the Intel appup center, helps you to find out those diseases which are caused by the lack of various Vitamins.

in order to work with Diseases and Vitamins Calculator, you should first install the app from the Intel AppUp Center. You will be able to launch the app directly from the center as soon as you complete the installation process.

Alternatively, you can also run the app by double clicking the Diseases and Vitamins icon from the desktop.

Diseases and Vitamins Calculator displays a screen with drop down list of all common diseases as shown below

In order to view the relevant Vitamin associated with the disease, you should select a disease name from the drop down list and then click Find button.

As you can see from the above figure, the app only displays the Vitamin name associated with the selected disease. This information is not sufficient to cure the symptoms associated with the disease. In order to cure, you should consume Vitamin rich food or supplements after consultation with your physician.

Suggestions

Diseases and Vitamins Calculator should also display list of source/food items which carry the displayed Vitamin. For instance, the app should provide the source from which you get Vitamin D in figure 3 displayed above.

Moreover, the app should display the Google/Yahoo search link which navigates directly to the relevant vitamin page to enable you to gather complete information regarding the relevant Vitamin. I hope the developer will include these features in the next release of the app.
