Working with Multiple Desktops using Moo0 MultiDesktop | TechnoEnclave

Normally, Windows 7 comes with a single desktop. But there will be instances where you need to work in multiple desktop environments. Moo0 MultiDesktop is a very handy tool which helps you to work with four desktops at a time. Each desktop will have its own working environment.

The Moo0 MultiDesktop package is only 2 MB and can be installed within 30 seconds after going through a series of Wizards.

You will be able to view a small rectangle numbered from 1 to 4 as shown below as soon as you complete the installation process.

In order to work with the tool, click on the number 1, open NotePad and enter “This is Desktop 1″. After that select 2, open Microsoft Word and enter something. Repeat this process up to number 4 by opening different programs.

To test the result, press CTRL+1 and you will be able to view the NotePad file. Now press CTRL+2 and you will be able to view Word. I have only demonstrated the usage of the tool. In the real world scenario, you can open any number of programs in Desktop 1, 2, 3 and 4. You only need to activate them by pressing the respective shortcut keys which can be changed by right clicking the rectangle and selecting the required option.

You can also modify the skin of Moo0 MultiDesktop by right clicking on the four squares located on the right hand side. I found that the monitor flicker a lot if you shut down the system by running the application in the background. The product however doesn’t consume lot of system resources.

From my point of view, Moo0 MultiDesktop is an excellent freeware used for managing multiple desktops easily.
