Remote Access PC from Chrome browser with Chrome Remote Desktop

If you work with multiple PCs then you should make use of tools with which you can establish connectivity from one PC to another for various purposes. Google Chrome Remote Desktop is one such free tool which allows users to remotely access another computer through the Chrome browser or a Chromebook.

In order to work with Chrome Remote Desktop, you should install it by visiting the website using Chrome browser. The installation process takes less than five minutes. You will view Apps page as soon as you complete the installation process as shown below

The next step is to grant extended access permissions to your computer by clicking Continue button from the Authorize page as shown below

You will view a screen as shown below upon clicking Continue button

You will be now prompted to grant access to share your PC upon clicking Allow Access button from the above displayed User Interface

Chrome Remote Desktop will display a 12 digit access code which you need to provide to the person who will share the PC with you. The User Interface displays a Ajax based prompt with the caption waiting for connection until the other person start the sharing process.

Access will be granted only to those user who identifies the PC by entering 12 digit access code and the entire sharing session is fully secured. You should share your PC with only those person whom you know very well and should not be used with strangers. Chrome Remote Desktop is cross-platform browser extension and hence you can connect any two computers that have a Chrome browser irrespective of the Operating System.

Chrome Remote Desktop will be highly useful for those who provide remote help desk services. It can also be used to fetch files from one PC to another without using Pen Drives or Portable Hard Drives.
