Sometimes, you will be required to capture screenshot of Windows 7 Logon Screen for various purposes. By default, it is not possible to capture a screenshot of the screen. You will have to take a snap of the screen using digital camera, which will lose clarify. Hence, you require third party freeware tool such as Win 7 Logon Screen Capture.

Win 7 Logon Screen Capture enables you to capture your logon screen by clicking the Ease of Access button. In order to make use of the freeware, you should download the tool from the website of the developer.

The installation process is complex as you need to locate Utilman.exe inside WindowsSystem32 folder. Once you located the file, rename it to Utilman_backup.exe and place the Utilman.exe from the compressed ZIP folder of the installation package.

Before you rename a file located inside Windows directory, you should Take Ownership of the file. You should take ownership of the entire System32 folder and then rename the file as soon as you complete the Take Ownership process. After you rename the original file, place Utilman.exe file from the extracted ZIP folder and log off Windows 7.

You will view Ease of Access button at the bottom left hand side of the logon screen. Win 7 Logon Screen Capture will immediately capture the whole screen as soon as you click the button. You will also view Logon Screen Capture file dialog to enable you to save the captured file.

As you can see, Win 7 Logon Screen Capture enables you to capture a screenshot of your Windows 7 logon screen without any difficulty. I would suggest you to make use of the freeware only if you know what you are doing.
