Copy Document from Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to Microsoft OneNote with Bring to OneNote

Sometimes, you will be required to copy the content generated using Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel to Microsoft OneNote for reference purposes. In such a scenario, freeware tools such as Bring to OneNote will be extremely useful.

Bring to OneNote automatically copy the entire document from Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to Microsoft OneNote. While Bring to OneNote can automatically put Word document as a plain text output to OneNote, Excel workbook will be copied as pure table with the ability to edit the content in OneNote.

In order to work with Bring to OneNote, you should download install the freeware. You will then be able to find the tool inside the View ribbon toolbar. Follow the steps mentioned below to import a Word document to Microsoft OneNote 2010 using Bring to OneNote.

(1) Open a Word document and click the option titled Bring to OneNote inside the View ribbon toolbar. You will view a dialog as shown below

(2) As you can see from the above screenshot, Bring to OneNote displays all active sections inside the dialog box. You have to select the one which is relevant to your work. The document will be immediately displayed inside OneNote under the relevant section as shown below

In the same manner, you can import a Excel document to OneNote by triggering Bring to OneNote from within Microsoft Excel.
