Test the Load Time of a Web Page with Pingdom | TechnoEnclave

Nowadays, web pages are ranked according to the speed with which the site loads. The greater the speed, higher will be the ranking in search engines such as Google, Yahoo. In order to optimize your site correctly as per the latest specifications, you should test and check the page load time of the URL in addition to other related factors using third party tools.

Pingdom is a web based freeware tool which provides an ability to test the load time of the web page. Moreover, the tool also analyzes the relevant URL and find bottlenecks and errors. You should rectify the mistakes pointed out by the tool in order to increase the page load time.

In order to test the load time of a web page, you should visit Pingdom and provide the URL. Alternatively, you should choose the location from where your site should be checked. By default, it is Dallas, USA but you can modify it to Amsterdam, Netherlands if required.

Pingdom will start the testing process as soon as you click the Test Now button. You will view a new page with a screenshot of the web page being tested along with other related parameters. The tool also displays the percentage by which your web page is faster when compared to other sites.

From my point of view, Pingdom is an excellent tool with which webmasters can test the load time of a web page very easily. You can also make use of this tool if you are a web designer or web developer as you can test the webpage of your clients.
