Easily Convert any Webpage to PDF with Joliprint FireFox Add-on | TechnoEnclave

As you may already know, FireFox is a web browser used by users all over the world. You can extend the functionality of the Web browser with the help of Add-ons which perform specific functions.

With the help of Joliprint add-on, you can convert any web page into sharp looking PDF for various purposes such as printing. You can also save the documents and read it offline via a PC or portable devices such as iPod, iPad and tablets. The Joliprint add-on also enables you to create ebooks on the fly from your Google Reader, Instapaper and ReadItLater reading lists. You can also share the PDF on Facebook and Twitter by using the relevant buttons in the add-on.

In order to work with the add-on, you should first navigate the official add-on page of Joliprint using FireFox. You will view a page as shown below

Select yellow colored Add to Firefox button from the above screen. You will view a series of dialogs as shown below after Allowing permission to install the add-on.

You should restart Firefox to complete the installation process. You should view a new entry labelled PDF and Print with Joliprint inside the File menu as shown below

In order to convert a web page into PDF, navigate to the URL and select PDF and Print with Joliprint from the File menu. The add-on will automatically connect to the relevant online application web service and generate the PDF. The output will be displayed as a shortened URL with options to share the link on Facebook, Twitter as shown below.

As you can see, you can also save the document in Google Docs or email it to your colleagues and friends. You will view a dialog as shown below if you visit the shortened URL, which prompts you to save the generated PDF document on your PC.

I viewed the PDF and amazed to find the quality of the document especially that of fonts. However, the add-on embeds a watermark on the left hand side in the vertical direction of each page.
