Automate Windows using Timer with Final Countdown | TechnoEnclave

You can perform any task using your computer by properly timing the operating system. By default, Windows doesn’t ship with any tools with timer functionality. Final Countdown is an advanced timer application developed for Windows 7 and 8. The freeware is capable of doing any task such as Shutdown, Restart, Sleep, Alarm, Log Off and much more on the time set by the user.

For instance, you can easily shut down Windows by setting the timer using the freeware. Final Countdown also ships with various modes such as Good Night, Anti-Guest System, Economy Mode, Maid and Insomnia Mode. Moreover, you can also trigger custom applications by selecting their executable file name by selecting the ellipse near Run task.

In order to work with Final Countdown, you should download the package and double click the executable file named Final Countdown 1.0.4.1 Beta Release.exe. You will view a user interface as shown below

As you can see, the freeware includes a Task Panel, which contains the names of various tasks and relevant drop down buttons for selecting timer. For instance, I have selected 1 Day, 3 Hours and 5 Minutes and the relevant date in which the timer is set will be displayed automatically as shown below

Final Countdown ships with 10 Themes (Skins) with which you can easily modify the look and feel of the freeware. Moreover, the developer provides 2 additional language packs in addition to English along with the application.

From my point of view, Final Countdown is an excellent piece of software with which you can automate tasks associated with Windows 7 and 8 Operating Systems, thus saving valuable energy.

Note: I faced problems while downloading the stable (latest) version of Final Countdown. ESet Antivirus System alerted me with a message. However, I was able to download latest Beta of Final Countdown without any problems
