Manage Files easily with PeaZip Portable | TechnoEnclave

Nowadays, many software creators and vendors have been distributing software packages in ZIP format. End users need to extract the contents of a ZIP file if they need to work with the files packaged inside the ZIP files.

PeaZip Portable is an easy to use Windows based file archive utility, which is packaged as a portable application. This means that you will be able to work with PeaZip without performing any installation like other similar freeware file archive utilities. PeaZip Portable provides support for 7Z, 7-Zip sfx, ACE, ARJ, BZ2, CAB, CHM, CPIO, DEB, GZ, ISO, JAR, LHA/LZH, NSIS, OOo, PAQ/LPAQ, PEA, QUAD, RAR, RPM, split, TAR, Z, ZIP file formats and is available for both 32 bit and 64 bit platforms.

With the help of PeaZip Portable, you will be able to edit, save, restore archive layouts, apply multiple filters to archive contents including the ability to split and join archives. You will also be able to encrypt archive files and perform file comparison and checksum using CRC, MD5, SHA algorithms.

In order to work with PeaZip Portable, you should download the relevant file package, extract the contents of the ZIP file and double click the executable file named peazip.exe. You will be able to view an user interface as shown below

You have to locate the ZIP file which need to be extracted by navigating to the relevant folder and then select the option titled Extract from the Toolbar. PeaZip Portable will display a screen with relevant options as shown below

You can also set a password if you are compressing a file package by selecting the Password lock symbol and providing the relevant password. The user interface can be  easily customized using Themes. The freeware ships with few built-in themes and uses customizable transparency.

I noticed that PeaZip Portable extracts file package at a very high speed when compared to similar tools such as WinZip and 7ZIP.
