Review – uCertify PrepKit – 70-680 MCTS: Windows 7, Configuring | TechnoEnclave

I had introduced uCertify PrepKit for 70-680 MCTS: Windows 7, Configuring few days back. In this article, I will examine the PrepKit in detail. As I mentioned in the previous article, PrepKit means Stimulator. This means that you are presented with an environment similar to that of actual exam with which you can practice at your own time.

uCertify PrepKit for MCTS Exam 70-680 consists of four practice tests, diagnostic test, final test, Interactive quiz, Adaptive test including the ability to create your own custom and fixed time tests. The first test of the kit is the diagnostic test which has 15 questions. You can use this test to judge your fundamental knowledge. The four practice tests consists of 65 questions each. This means that you will be able to practice 260 questions before you face the real certification test.

Microsoft certification tests consists of multiple answers for a single question and uCertify has taken care of this aspect while developing the PrepKit. While the final test of the PrepKit consists of 46 questions, Interactive quiz consists of 130 questions using which you can validate the knowledge of key concepts.

You will view an initial screen as shown below when you select a practice test.

You will be able to view the first question of the practice test as shown below as soon as you click Start Test button.

As you can see, it is possible to manage the test environment by selecting the relevant button from the Toolbar located on the bottom of the screen. You can proceed to the next question by selecting Next button. Alternatively, you can directly jump to the Last question.

You will have around two minutes to answer a question. You can also pause a question in case if you want more time to answer the question. Otherwise, the timer will continue to run on the bottom of the screen.

The PrepKit also contains relevant study material in the form of Study Notes, Articles, How to guides, list of key terms, glossary, online reference library and study tips. You will be able to learn several advanced concepts with the help of relevant screenshots using the materials provided on the PrepKit.

From my point of view, uCertify PrepKits will be very useful if you are planning to take Microsoft Certification Exams as it contains relevant practice tests, study materials. Moreover, the user interface of the PrepKit is very easy to understand. Even though the Kit provides the materials, you have to show dedication to take practice tests at regular intervals after mastering the concepts associated with the subject.
