Rename Files and Folders with Advanced Renamer | TechnoEnclave

Imagine, you have taken pictures using your new digital camera and there are around 250 images. They will be named beginning with IMG. However, you need to rename all the images so that you can easily recognize them in future.

Advanced Renamer is a freeware which enables you to rename multiple files or folders at once. The freeware make use of several different methods and algorithm for calculating the new name including multimedia tools for sound and picture files.

The installation process involves downloading the installation package. The vendor provides you with several language options as shown below.

You will view a screen as shown below as soon as you complete the installation.

You need to add files or folders by browsing them by selecting Add drop down box. A complete list of all images located inside the folder will be displayed on the interface. You can add new file name by selecting New Name button located on the Add batch method panel.

As you can see you can make use of the default tags as shown in the above figure. It is not possible to provide a custom name. Some of the other features of Advanced Renamer are Undo functionality, Real time preview, MP3/ID3 renaming, Image renaming with EXIF support,Thumbnail view  and much more.

From my point of view, Advanced Renamer is a great tool for organizing digital images for both amateurs and professionals.
